Problem when starting car
Hi!
I have a Honda Civic 1993 1.5L vehicule which is not hatchback. When I start it, the engine starts to turn, then it stops. I HAVE to push and hold the gas pedal for at least a second or two to keep the motor running. Just to make it harder, it doesn't always happen, it's intermittent. I live in Quebec, Canada and it's winter right now so I have no idea if it's gonna do the same thing on next summer. We thought it could be the cables for the sparkplugs, but chances are I would have problems on the road which is not the case. The car accelerates the same way as before and everything else is working fine. Any ideas about what it could be? Please note I'm no car expert, I don't really know much at all but just trying to learn when I have problems with it.
Thank you!

When you are cranking the car and it doesn't want to start, try spraying some carb cleaner through the TB. If the car starts, then you have a fuel problem. If the car doesn't start then fuel prolly isn't the issue, maybe spark.
What's a TB? (I'm not really used with English terms, sorry) I forgot to add I recently had a distributor problem and the sparkplugs where changed when the distributor cap and rotor were changed. I'll try a gas addative and see if it does fix the problem. If you have other ideas, please let me know. Thank you for your fast reply
