Problems with stereo and locks
A little background before I explain my issue. Installed some projector headlights the other night. I spliced into the running lights for the halo and I unhooked my battery by taking the positive and negative off. It was probably off for around 2 hours.
My problem is that when I try to turn my stereo on it gives me some sort of error message. I can't put a cd in and I can't switch over to any of my presets. Also my anti-theft light that normally is on, if off now (i do have low jack) and when i try and use my auto locks from my driver side, they don't work.
Could I have disrupted something???? Need anything you guys can throw at me please. Can't figure it out. All my lights work, speedo works everything but those things. Weird. Don't know if there is some kind of master reset or something. New to civics, please help
thanks

RE: Problems with stereo and locks
is it the stock radio? if so, it has a security feature to distable it self if it looses power ie stolen. bring the car to a dealership, with a proof of ownership, and they will give you the codes
as far as the locks go, im not sure, it may be connected tot eh radio, or maybe a fuse blue, but that would normally take out all power locks

RE: Problems with stereo and locks
keyless entry, factory alarm, and radio are all tied to the built in radio security code... disconnecting the battery made the radio reset itself, which means it needs the radio code entered. I'm guessing 2000+ civic?
(my 98 doesn't have any codes )
