um take it easy count to ten. I dont own car yet but I know not to even tempt to do what you about to do until main prob solved first. Whos to say a engine rebuild fix the prob. If you replaced the head gasket like you said and then poof Head ache and anarchy happens shows signs of something else going on with engine. I think if you rebuild it prob might still be there. After all you said you replaced all the supposed possible problem makin parts. My guess mechanic did something to the engine didnt tell you.

what ever the prob is or fixed or not if you rebuild and turns out to be tuning issue and you got TURBO running higher boost you asking for trouble if prob happens. I mean I always look at things from worst case senerio this way I can do everything in my power to avoid that senario from happening. Like watching turbo charged rebuilt engine go up in smoke as you watch $$$$ fly from under the hood.

just take your car to a qualified mechanic namely one that specializes in HONDA and ACURA to check your engine out.

this is perfect reason if you going do custom cars it best do it yourself. I am not trying be smart
