so i found out today while i was driving out that my reverse lights are on even when my quarts lights are on so i was driving and my girlfriend noticed that my reverse lights are on 1st gear, off second gear, on third gear, and off fourth gear (i dont have 5th) but when its on 2nd and 3rd they turn off when i push the stick more down also 4rth whats the problem bad wireing ?? bad sensor???

 

ok, first off, what year are you rollin in? and just so I understand...they're on no matter what in 1st, but in 2nd - 4th they're on, but go off if you wiggle the stick?

 

Sounds like a bad/loose reverse switch.

 

just unplug it & drive it , if its still on - its in the wiring - if it stays off ,i say replace the switch

 

my ride is a 91 hatch and where would i find the reverse switch???? so i can replace it if thats whats bad and no i dosnt turn off if i just wiggle it i have to put pressure on the stick for them to turn off
