Today my kid changed the plug wires and put teh timming cover back on the 1994 civic. She pulled all the wires off first not paying attention to where they ran. After a quick search we got the firing order right. The thing will barly start and when we get it started it seems to only be running of 3 or 3 cycl. Changed back to the old wires no change. Pulled the plugs and a few had a week spark so going to go get replacements. The car ran fine before she did this and iv checked for loose wires and found nothing. Any sugestions?

 

Was the spark a bright blue color or a weak orange color? It sounds like the coil in the distributor might be bad.

 

3 were a orange color. after changing the plugs it looked better but ran no better. folowed these directions and did some testing to find out coil was bad ( ground was flashing during cranking). now the coil is only 2 months old with less than 500km on it. only reason it was replaced was i lost the spring out of the old one. why would i pop a coil so fast?

Well iv rulled out ignition after replacing plugs , wires, rotor, cap and coil again. After about 5 min of running 3 out of 4 plugs are carbon fowlled now im thinking furel or air?
