1996 Civic 2 dr DX Coupe is the project.
I couldn't find any threads on removing & replacing the rear side 1/4 windows... in essence I want to pull my old ones out & put new rubber seals on the window & put them back in. The old ones are OLD & have the look & feel of dry rotting... major cracks & chunks missing. Has anyone done this???
Of course while they are out I will do other things too such as window tint etc.
So far I could only find the seals through the dealer, Auto glass places tell me they can not get the seals. At my dealer they are about $60.oo each. at that price I will live with it since keeping water out / preventing rust is more important..

Windshield and 1/4 panel windows are two COMPLETELY different things.....

OP i wouldnt wanna replace those windows myself I would suggest buying the seals and taking it to a auto glass repair place...

 

Thanks for the info. I just had a place put in a new windshield & got to watch the whole process up close, they were cool about it. I was hoping someone may have done the side windows & could give some heads up of any problems. I do think I will do the majority of the work & then just take the car down there & pay them to caulk it & put it in. I'll do all the dirty work. I'm kind of **** about some things so while I have them out I'll have tint put on them, clean up the surrounding areas really well like the area with paint & make it look nicer so there won't be any lines of old area & area that was hidden if any happens to show this time around.
Anyway, I may get to this within the next week so I'll post some pics up if I come across anything unsual to warn others before hand. Thanks again, Jason
