7th gens are a bit larger so tey can handle a bit bigger tire, but IMO i'd stick with teh 205's. Why do you need bigger tires anyway? You can usually find 205's to fit whatever rims you want (unless they're like 19"s, which shouldnt be on a Civic anyway haha)

I'd go with the 205/40/17 e****ally if you want to lower your car or not. I know I had 215/40/17 on my car before I lowered it and they just fit. But when I lowered it they rubbed and I switched to the 205's I also have a 2000 civic. So i'm not 2 sure with the 03s

03's are a bit bigger then our 6th gens, i forgot to ask if you're going to lower too. With 205 on the bigger Civic, you're not gonna rub at all, there are plenty lower 6th gens with 205s and they are just fine, but with 225's i'd say theres a big chance you're gonna rub if lowered, and then look like you're going offroading if your not, so either way bad choice
