Default Help with tire size...

My 2nd post, I'm looking into putting rims onto my 1998 stock Honda Civic Si and I currently have 16" enkei 12 spoke rims that need rubber...

Anyone have any suggestions? I would also like to lower it as well...

Thanks in advance...

Are you looking for summer-only tires or all-season tires?

Thats the usual size for most 16" wheels. Your speedometer should be pretty close to correct and you should have no trouble finding tires in the size.

i would say for a nice smoother ride get a 205/50r16 and if you want a little less flex on the sidewall and better conering a little bit go with a 205/45r16

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 205/45's will be closest to having your speedo read the correct speed also. I beilieve with the 50 series you will be running around 3(?) mph faster than what your speedometer says.

Personally, I would go with the 45 series. You will have a crisper turn-in and slightly less sidewall flex with only a bit more harshness in the ride.

thanks everyone, I got some Z-rated 205/45/16's...they're awesome...

Right now, the gap betweem the wheels and the car is a lot noticable now that the tires are smaller...I would like to lower my car an inch and a half...

Im not too sure what the correct process is to do that and what products are good to use...

If anyone has any suggestions and a brief explanation on what needs to be done that would be great...

Thanks in advance...
