Pretty easy to check if your brake pads are worn. Take off the front wheel. The caliper should have "window" in the front. Its basically a hole in the caliper. Look through the hole and you should be able to see the brake pad. The pad has two parts, the friction material and the backing plate. The backing plate will be touching the caliper piston. If the friction material is really thin its time for new pads.
