Ooookay.

So we did the caveman test... No spark. New plugs and wires might I add.
Like, new as in today.

Also we did the ohm test at the A and B terminals and got .47 I think... But we did it off the screw caps.

We're about to go outside and test the A to secondary...
Then double check the A and B without the screws, to see if it changes.

Bad coil, but do verify as you mentioned. If the distributor is the original one, I would suggest that you buy a whole new distributor and save yourself some big headaches in the near future.

Its a new everything. All in one from az. Ignitor and dist, then I bought a new cap and rotor too.

Taking the whole thing to AZ now to get them to test it.

Hmm...if the distributor is new (and not defective) and the Blk/Yel wire has battery voltage, then check the Yel/Grn wire (runs from igniter unit to ECU) for lack of continuity or a short.

The "new" one was refirbished. And the ignitor was out. Autozone only sells used ones. I got another and still no good. Might be another bad part but I ran out of time tonight.

Also, could I be doing something to ruin the ignitor? Like a bad ground or something shortening it?

Are the coil readings out of spec? If so, it's bad.

Well, when I bought it,it came as a whole unit. Ignitor, coil, everything. I didn't replace one at a time.

So each unit being refirbished has a chance of each part of it being bad. The first one was a bad ignitor. The one I have now.... Well who knows.

Hey, I fixed it hehehe.

Ohhhhh... I'm bad. Real bad.

The first refirbished dist. was bad. The ignitor part at least.

The 2nd one I got is all good. And since I did a full tune up (plugs, all dist parts, wires, belts, whatever) the car runs mega strong now.

The only reason it wouldn't shoot a spark last night is because.... Because.... I didn't put the rotor back on when I got the 2nd dizzy.

We all make mistakes.

Anyway, wouldn't have gotten this far without you RonJ, and all the input from the others.
Thanks much, that is all troubleshooting steps I will never forget.
