Default steering column replacement....tumbler issues.

Hey, having an issue replacing my steering column...
My car was the victim of a theft attempt, standard procedure...
I went to the scrap yard got a used column with no keys for $100.
I had no trouble getting my tumbler out of my orignal column (b/c i had the keys) but as for getting the tumbler out of the new column without keys....****!
Someone has to have a hint for me. I know about the little black release button, and the tamper proof torx screw.

the original one slid out sooo nicely, just turned the key one click, a little wiggle and presto.

For anyone/everyone with this issue, Swapping the steering column is a joke...5 bolts and it pops right out...I read about somebody on here being quoted 7000+ for the job, i understand this is new parts and an inflated labour rate. I am far from a mechanic, but a little thought and a lot of patience is all that's required! and of course a little help from hondacivicforum!
Any help would be appreciated.

well, i caved and called my neighbour, a mechanic. He simply took the serial number off the column to honda and they cut a key for it...$30 later and i'm back in business...well sort of...my car cranks but won't fire, i'm pretty sure i'm getting fuel, think my problem is spark...probably a fuse/relay somewhere.
Apparently when my car was (attempted) stolen, the car was running, the security guard that came to "chase the thieves away" proceeded to stall my car to shut it off...This causes me to think that i fuct something during replacement, however i've quadruple checked all connections, even swapped the ignition swith from the original column with no luck. If anyone may have a pearl of wisdom for me, it would be appreciated.
