sunroof wont shut
hey wuts up i have a 98 ex coupe.
i went to shut my sunroof earlier and it wouldnt shut.
im a very experienced mechanic i just wondered if anyone had a similar problem.
both relays are clicking behind the sunroof switch so i assume they are working because they are each single circuit relay one to open it one to shut it.
i got it to shut by cranking the motor with an allen wrench but obviously i would like it to work properly.
the motor would be an obvious call but it seemed to be working fine since ive had it.
any ideas?

RE: sunroof wont shut
might be kinda tuff to figure out.... if your hearing a clicking noise from the relays then i would asume the motors going bad....
have you tried to work the sunroof anymore after manualy closing it?
might just be a dead spot in the motor or even some of the mechanical sprokets broke... realy hard to tell without pullen down the headliner and realy geting into the motor....

RE: sunroof wont shut
yeah no luck on getting it to work after i cranked it manually.
its weird because i bought a drivers door from the salvage yard and the window wouldnt roll down so i got the motor all the way out and it was the fuse. thats what i did right before i went to shut the sunroof so i thought maybe i caused a short somewhere but i dont think any of the wiring for the sunroof is anywhere near the drivers door wiring. checked fuses already. i guess ill just have to check the voltage going to the motor.
