temp hand help

Default temp hand help

i have a 94 honda civic 1.6L and my coolant temp hand goes up to half way a couple of minutes after i crank my car up about 2-5 minutes. It never goes above halfway. Help

That is what it is supposed to do. What were you expecting it to do? Halfway is the normal operating temperature. Going above halfway means that the engine is overheating, which is not good.

Is the temperature suppose to go up that fast to halfway
