You measured continuity to ground from terminals in the ECU connectors, right? If so, there's a wire or pin problem. Check for wire breaks between the ECU connectors and the thermostat housing. Also make sure the failure isn't in the connector pins.

Default Hrm

So other then shaving the wires back to check for a break, I cannot see the problem. Can I shave some of the wire back and run a jumper wire back to the neg battery terminal to prove that the car will actually run if i fix the ground like that just to test?

Yes, try running two new ECU ground wires for the bad ones to the thermostat housing. The engine should now start and not throw code 0.

Thumbs up OMG it RUNS!!!!

First off thank you very very much RonJ!!!!!!

I ran the two new wires and used the blue jumper connection box to just tap into the existing wires on the ECU side and then crimped on two new eyelets on the thermostat side. (I cannot believe there is a spot to get through the firewall right near the ECU!!) In like a half of turn the engine started right up. UNBELIEVABLE I cannot believe what two little wires cost me lmfao!! Again with out this forum I would be at a loss thank you all once again!

Unhappy So.. Same problem

So I went out to move the car out of the garage after just sitting after it was "fixed". Mind you i went back and forth I have been out to start it every once and a while with no problems.

So I took out the multi meter and checked the grounds. There all good still, I also plugged in the little two prong connecter with a jumper and I get the same thing.. SRS flash no spefic number of times just keeps going. Any thoughts?

I do have two ECU and there doing the same thing.

Wife is telling me I have to sell it... to the scrapper if I cannot get it running before snow.
