Tune up!
I'm just wondering what brands do you guys trust the most when making a tune up? I am looking at spark plug cables that cost 150, but doest it really make a difference from some that cost 80? Same goes for everything else needed for a tune up. I have a honda civic 95 stock. It would be awesome and I would really appreciate it if someone points me in the right direction.
well mostly stock I mean I do have a short ram intake so yeah I don't think it makes a big difference though right?
NGK V-power spark plugs (OEM)
OEM cap and rotor (other auto parts store brands will work... i just trust OEM more)
Some auto parts store brand spark plug wires suck (the ones I had broke in less than a year... they couldn't handle the heat of the engine and became weak)... I would just go with the $50 NGK ones you can buy online. (don't be tricked by ebay listings though that sell NGK plugs with their wires... the wording is misleading and makes it sound like the wires are NGK too, but they're really not)
Also, while you're doing your tune up, get a small bottle of Lucas Fuel Additive, put half the bottle in, and fill up your gas tank.
I'd also check your ignition timing with a timing light, and adjust as necessary
