I actually did this exact thing. All I did was put liquid gasket around the hole where the bolt should be, and tightened the other bolts down. It didnt leak so I was happy.

As a side note, make sure that the metal piece you broke off isnt floating around in the engine! I had to drop my oil pan to get it back.

Hi its me the one who started this session but I want to write in to say how I fixxed it. It was so easy I couldnt believe it with an 11mm long socket I unscrewed the valve cover bolt and just went and bought another one. just replaced it it took all of 1/2 hour.

and to think I was freakin out I thought I was so screwed. but thanx for all the input I love this site
