vtec not working

Default vtec not working

can low oil levels stop tthe vtecfrom working or is this a seperate issue

And how do you know your vtec isn't working... And I highly doubt that the oil level could have anything to do with this..

im jus askin on behalf of my brother because since his oil light come on the vtec has stoped he knows is no logger workin because the rev are steady all the way round rather than pickin up at the vtec zone

has he tried topping off the oil?

And if vtec wasn't kicking in, I don't think his car would allow him to rev past 5500

tell him to dig through his spare change and go buy a quart of oil...unless he just wants to run it low and build/buy a new motor.
