yeah, probably a good idea, but the whole reason I was doing this project myself was to save money, I'm trying to find out if anyone I know has a 500 ft-lb gun. We didn't get that cheap self-curling hose, either, we got the good stuff.

Okay,I borrowed another gun from one of my co-workers, rated I believe at 500 ft/lbs. Had the compressor at about 120 psi, and the bolt still wouldn't turn.
So, I put everything back together, and tried to startthe car. Wouldn't work.
Could this be from the battery not being plugged in for about 2 weeks? I also checked for oil, which there was none, so I stopped, but I'm going to try to put some oil in, and turn it. If that still doesn't work, I'm going to have my dad try to jump the battery.

if it is a factory pulley, they make a part to romove it, if its stock it should have a hex insert for the tool around the bolt, the tool holds the pulley in place while you turn it with a breaker bar. get a half in drive breaker bar and socket from craftsman that way you can take it back if it snaps,i will look up a tool if your interested.
