what my problem?
sometimes when i start into first my car (93 dx hb) will stall out for no reason (i can drive) and once it did it in reverse
also if i turn the car off then try to turn it back on within 2-5min it won't always start back up and if it starts to do that and i catch it sometimes i press the throttle and it won't shut off but most off the time i give it gas and it sounds like its tryin to rev then shuts off when this happens i have to wait 3-4 min before it starts again
oh yeah i just replaced the fuel filter so its not the problem and it happens no matter how much gas i have

Is the CEL ON?
When the car won't start, turn the ignition key to ON without cranking the engine. Listen carefully for the low humming noise of the fuel pump for a few seconds in the rear of the car (gas tank). If you don't hear the hum, then you may have a bad main relay, which supplies power to the fuel pump. This problem can be solved by soldering the main relay terminals.

When the engine dies, do all the gauge lights remain ON or turn OFF (loss of electrical power). If the gauge lights turn OFF, then the ignition switch is a suspect. Otherwise, what are the answers to the questions in my earlier post?
I used to have this problem in my old Civic. Turned out to be the battery cables not being tight enough on the battery posts. My cables didn't always have a good enough connection to start the car and keep it running, or even start the car at all. It happened if i tried to restart the car shortly after turning the car off, and sometimes caused the engine to die.
I recommend checking this, since it's pretty easy to check for. If you can pull the cables from the battery without loosening them, they need to be tightened.
