Default what tranny fluid to use?

ok ive searched and searched and everybody has a different opinion, i have a 89 hatch si (5 speed) and people say to use just 10w30, but then others say the old stuff had additives in it that the new stuff doesnt and so on and forth, well should i just go buy the honda genuine fluid from the dealer? i kinda want to go to synthetic i hear its really smooth, but i care about it working right more than smoothness, and opinions would be nice

I would stay with the Honda MTF. The reason for this is because it has a higher velocity and will better alot better for the gears, syncros later down the road

you can use 5w-20 motor oil its a light wieght oil the thicker the oil the worse it is
NEVER put lucas oil in it or and type of gear oil(80w-90) you will tear your sync. up
