will just some regualar old paint work for me to paint say my valve cover and my turbo heat shield or will i have to go somewhere to get them powder coated will the regualr paint just fade and crack from the heat or what?

Your gonna need heat resistant paint.

Head over to your local auto parts store or wal-mart and pick up some high temp. paint. They come in different heat ratings. I used the 1200 degree paint for my valve cover and it works great. Use the same paint for your heat shield.
