Default 1994 cooling fan

yesterday I replaced the radiator ( it was so clogged that it exploded the top part of the radiator by the top hose) on my ex-wifes 1994 civic. She doesn't have an owner;s manual. The fan is not comming on. When should the cooling fan turn on? How can I tell if the fan works or is just woreout. Car has tons of miles.

Also does anyone have .pdf of the repair and owners manual?

Any help would be appricated.

Default RE: 1994 cooling fan

Wire the fan to the battery. Run a wire from the pos terminal of the battery to the post hole of the connector. Same for the negative. You can also disconnect the battery and check the resistance of the fan (prolly easier). If there is an infinate resistance, the coil inside the fan is burned out and it will not work.
