I have a 1994 Civic DX, and I am wondering what you all think about gas tank additives. The kid I bought this car from said that he used to put fuel injector cleaner in his tank, and I have put a bottle or two of octane booster in there as well. What do you all think or what do you use in your rides? Do you use 93 Octane?

 

I have been using Prestone complete fuel system cleaner in my '96 cx. It costs about $5 and if it does everything that it says it does then it's well worth it. What are octane boosters supposed to do? Why is Slick 50 fuel system treatment so expensive? It's like $13 a bottle, is that worth it?

 

most people I know that use 93 octane says it just burns a little cleaner? they say it dosent do much. anyone ever head of that Z stuff that is on tv its like Z MAX or something like that. they have it at auto zone does that work.
