i just got 91 honda civic DX hatchback i heard none of the big name companies like AEM etc make intakes for this model and if i wanted an intake i had to get a cheap generic type is this true, another question i wasnted to get more speed out of my car im planning to swap a vtec engine but dont have the money yet will a mini me work on my car and how much does it cost. can someone help thanks

 

A mini me swap should work just ues a OBD0 head and ECU.

obd is on board diagnostics. 0,1,and 2 are the series. if you want to do a mini me swap look for a d16z6 head (92-95 civic ex,si) or a d16y8 head (96-99 ex) these are both sohc vtec heads. the swap shouldn't cost more than 500 dollars depending if you stay obd0 or go to obd1.
