Okay, well i'm getting the 2007 Civic Coupe LX soon, but i don't know much about cars was hopeng for help from you guys. Well it dosen't come with alot o Hp as you all know, was wondering what to do to add more, and what brands/products to go for. I knowthat you can get turbo and stuff like that but was wondering exactly what else I can get and what everthing does. Hope you can help, thanx guys!

yea like he said. you can spend any where from 30 bucks for an ebay intake to around 200 for an aem v2. then you can get a cheap muffler and have a shop put it on your car or get something like the apexi ws2 for around 400 then you can go get the megan header for 140 or spend around 300 for a dc sport header. all of that combined is going to give you well 15-20 extra horses. but by the time it gets to your wheels and starts turning your only feeling like 5-7 of that. so its not really for the hp gain its for the sound, looks, and to make your car run better and a little more smooth. but just get on the forum and do some research and you will find out all that you need to know. definately get on the intake header exhaust part and read up. there is always useful info being passed around on this site that can help you out with alot of things. so dont be shy but b4 you ask try to reasearch it first. have a good one and welcome to the forum.

 

The dc headers, intake, and magnaflow catback exhaust on my car gave it a good hp gain, and I could definetly feel it. Plus it sounds mean when the dohc has the vtec kick in

thanx for the help, as for how much i want to spend, i plan on making it a project car, so I will be doign all this over a couple o years therfor I wat to put in pretty decent stuff

I have no problem with researching in fact i love to do it when it's somthing i care abtou such as this. i even tried to, but the problem is i have no clue where to start or what i'm looking at.

tuner parts for the new civics are just starting to trickle in for the non Si models.

i remember when i bought my 06 EX. finding ANY aftermarket parts was next to impossible.

do some online research before you buy your LX if you want to heavily modify it.

 

First things first on a budget. Start with a cold air induction kit, then a cat back exhaust. Those two mods are usually the one folks go for first. Then the sky is the limit, audio, rubber, brakes, a super charger I feel is the way to go cuz something about stuffing hot air down my pipe (turbo) doesn't make sense, ya ya intercooler, just slows down delivery. The longer the straw the harder the suck. Oh BTW bottles are for babies, leave the NOS behind, yer motor will thank-you. ( I can feel all the hissin' out there already, it's just my opinion)

 

Well since you are going to take a couple of years to finish it, there should be parts for the lx by then. But like they said it will be harder to find parts that are not for the si or ex.
