Hello and welcome to my dd(daily driver).
I currently own a 98 civic dx sedan, and i will be keeping this car for a while. I am in the military and stationed overseas, so parts i find i can only get online, sucks for me, yes. I really haven't done that much to the car. It was previously owned by a 2f2f fan, so i had to fix some of his flaws. So far, it has a aem true time cam gear, active 4-2-1 header, 3" flow exhaust, new grounding, ram air intake, and all the electronic stuff (ice). Its current color is metallic blue, and in pretty good condition. I am in the process of replacing the whole fuel system with aem, also new alternator, spark plug (& wires), throttle body, and a few accesories. That project will be complete in about 2-3 months. Im not wanting it to be the best thing in the world, just a nice little family car. If anybody has any suggestions about what i could do or some preferences, please dont hold back. And by the way, NOS is completely out of the question. Thanks for your time and help.

hey, thanks for putting your *** on the line for us over there. i appreciate it. my little brother was killed over there with 6 of his tank mates in a roadside bombing on jan 5th this year. anyway, on to the car. i am pushing a 1.6 too, just an earlier model, a 93. but they are similar in construction. i would recomend a new cam, found mine on ebay for around 250.00, also a throttle body spacer couldnt hurt either found mine for around 80.00 on ebay also. the guy i bought the cam from recommended valve train upgrade and fuel pressure regulator. i did not buy valve train upgrade yet (kinda pricey, decent one's run 500.00 and up) but i did get the fuel pressure regulator 80.00, a fuel rail 60.00, and intake manifold 150.00, also bought plug and play ecu that is pre-programmed to kick vtec in at 4400rpm and rev limiter at 9600 rpm or so for 180.00, these are some options to consider. ebay has all sorts of **** for the 1.6 so check it out.
