RE: My New '95 Civic EX - Help me Spend my Money
Yeah, 35% is the legal limit here, and the chic at the tint place said the cops actually now have meters in to check your tint level at road side. Here in MO, 35% is pretty good thought, it used to be you could have ANY tint on the side windows... how crappy is that? Although you can go lower on the sides and back. So I'll go 35 driver/pass window, and the 5 the rest of the way around.
I think I'm going to paint the trim, but I still have a su****ion that after I get the tint done that the trim might actually look okay (black accenting the black)... I don't know, I'll post pics and get some opinions.
She has got 130,000 miles on her. Just bought her used for $3,000 even. Not a great steal or anything, but I had been looking for one of these for forever and I just didn't want to mess around any more. Blows cold, and doesn't leak.
I ordered my AEM CAI the other day, so that should be here soon. I think I got a pretty good deal on that. $180 shipped. I definately stressed a bunch over that choice and read TONS of stuff here... my head hurt so I finally pulled the trigger and went with the AEM. I think I'll be happy.
Now I need to decide what to do next: Tint, Wheels, or Exhaust. (And my back speakers are shot... I should probably get those too sometime soon...) I've got about a $900 left.

turbo kits for a Si engine will give you maybe 170 crank hp -
if you build up the engine for higher boost levels ... then you could be in the area of 240 crank hp
but ... IMO
swap a sir engine and a gsr tranny - don't bother turbo for the first few months, get use to the car swapped
that will be the best swap in the chassis
only like 30 lbs difference
you'll love me for life with that advise
