I don't know alot about cars so I'm just asking. Would the turbo negatively affect the automatic tranny? I also have an automatic and I was planning to get turbo but someone told me that I had to be careful with the automatic tranny.

an auto tranny will wear down faster than a manual. plus they cost more when you have to replace it. drivetrain loss is higher on an auto than on a manual. autos dont shift at peak power. the BOV doesnt always open at shifts.

thats only a few reasons why you dont get auto . but you can turbo one. it will wear your tranny down faster, but when you have to replace it you could to a manual conversion. i say go for it.

It won't cause any damage. The BOV doesn't open on an auto because you don't close the throttle plate when you are shifting, thus making no vacuum in the intake mani, thus not opening the BOV.
