I would go turbo for sure. any turbo is good a t3/t4 is very popular and will use a popular flange which is used on about 70% of turbos but a mitsu 1g 14b turbo would be cheep and will boost and hold about 17 psi on a good setup. But its up to you. There

I have a '92 and I turbo'd mine. I love it. The only thing is, it's not a good idea to turbo an engine w/ a lot of miles on it. I have to replace my motor now, because I'm burning oil like crazy. It's a lot cheaper and better (my opinion) to turbo your motor, even if you have to replace the damn thing. There is a company on ebay called enginesus. They have sold over 1100 motors, and have a 100% feedback rating. I just purchased a motor from them. I think their auction just ended. If you want their contact information, let me know and I'll be sure to get you his number. His company is based out of California, and all of his motors come straight from Japan. They all havea about 30-40K top on the motors. If you are going to get a turbo kit (which I strongly recommend), I would go w/ the Greddy TD04. You wont' be able to find a cheaper one (price wise, not quality) than on Ebay. I got mine for about $1300 after shipping. Everywhere else was asking over $2000. I wouldn't upgrade to 3" piping. 2.5" piping will suffice. You will need a high flo cat and 2.5" piping. DO NOT get a header. You will have that stuff in your kit. I made the mistake of purchasing a header and I wasted my damn money. I sure hope this helps!

Boost because unless you swap to a H22 you will still have no tq(yes I said the B series do not have tq worth a crap.) The B16A's have slightly higher peak tq than your d series but throughout the rpm range the D16's tq is in fact better than the B16's. That is why people call ther B16 a tq'less wonder. The B18's have more tq per say but you are only talking a max of about a 20 ft lb of tq difference when you swap unless you go H22 which has 160ish tq stock.

I boosted my jdm d15b and was putting down around 172/173 tq to the ground meaning more tq than a K24/K20 hybrid

Have you done I/H/E yet? Maybe doing some basic bolt ons would be enough for you.

i have done intake and exhaust but not headers i'm looking to do that if i boost mainly... but i really need to know which turbo to get... i really have my heart set on boosting cuz i think i'll like it in the long run and from what i've heard swapping is a hassle and a half... so i want to go with what is easier and more of a power diff. but i really need advice on boosting really just the basic newbie stuff... lol but any info helps
