Default fitment issues

So I bought a cast iron log style manifold and a 14b turbo a while back figuring that I couldnt possibly have any fitment issues with that setup in my 2000 si and sure enough I do. The mani was re-flanged before I bought it and it has about an extra inch of cast iron below the original flange and then the 14b flange. So basically my turbo sits too low and is hitting all kinds of stuff. My main question is whether or not its possible to cut through cast iron and reweld the 14b flange a little higher? Or should I just consider looking for a new mani? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

what you have to look is at how much is it gonna cost to get it fixed and redone? and also how much for just a new manifold? which one is cheaper or which one do you think will be easier

Sorry for not having pics guys, I havent had my camera for the last couple of days but i should be able to post some pics tomorrow. I may consider removing the internal wastegate and getting a manifold with an external flange just to make sure fitment will be easier if thats something I can do. Im going to do some more test fitting and see what other options I might have but thanx for the help so far.

5 pics, one of my mani, one of the thing my compressor intlet is hitting, 2 more pics with each showing the turbo turned a different way. Let me know if anyone has had a problem with your turbo hitting this or not. The last one is my sexy spearco fmic that is pointlessly mounted, but looks sweet.

Just realized that my manifold is actually an HKS mani, doesnt say it on the mani itself but saw another one that is absolutely identical and the seller said it was an HKS mani. Please correct me if I am wrong
