Default h22 boost

i have a h22a with a crower stroker kit, skunk 2 springs and retainers, crower stage 2 turbo cams, roller rockers, basically a fully built h22 for my 94 dx. the stroker kit is set up for turbo 10:1 compression. i want to make about 450 to the wheels w/o nitrous. whats safe boost for that kind of hp?

if you could get traction past 16psi then up to the 20psi range should set you at 400+ hp pretty easily

Im wondering about compression... that is a piston killer with turbo.

if your H is stroked I'd about bet it does not have forged pistons and if it dont have aftermarket sleeves you are not running forged pistons. What mm bore and stroke are you running?. BTW Remmy you can tune around compression to a certain degree

Yes it can, higher octane gas, more agressive timing, and as long as you can keep your iat's down it is do-able

It's doable, just need to run it a little richer and really watch the timing. Some of the serious drag race cars run higher compression than even that.

450whp without sleeves in an H22 just isn't gonna happen without you destroying them, H22 sleeves are not cuddly lovable ones. And what turbo were you planning on using?

...Have you ever driven a 250whp Civic? It's a handful and a half, 450whp tends to remove tread from the tires in 4th gear on the street.

did you sleeve the block before putting the motor together? ide start off at 15 and see how that goes, what kinda engine management do you have? i suggest s300 for the money you cant beat it , and its got a ramp function so at lower speed and rpm its goin to tell it to only boost to a preset level then after that its goin to ramp up to your set level, like 20 psi if you want or higher as your moving at a higher rate of speed
