the torque increase and displacement increase might change your mind, i'd rather have power that can be used on the street without always revving all the way to 8k+ rpms, which, imo, is kinda pointless unless you track the car all the time.

Bad news, we pulled the head today and there was a ton of oil on the pistons andin the cylinders. The pistons look pretty good so Im assuming broken rings. We didnt have time to get the block out of the car and inspect it more thoroughly but either way Im looking at a rebuild. Im just going to do tunertoys rods and srp pistons and throw it back together but its still going to be pretty expensive and time consuming. My car is at my friends house about 45 miles from my house cause he has way more tools than me and is pretty experienced with building motors but we bothwork weekdays so the only days we will be able to get serious work done will be on the weekends making this an even more time consuming project. Im going to look at a geo metro tomorrow for $400 that I will probably be picking up as a beater for the next month+. Im working on getting a thread in the projects sections so look for that soon.

How much will the lower comp pistons and h-beam rods affect my current tune on my ecu? Im planning to go with 9.0:1 cr and I think the stock b16a2 cr is 10.2:1. Will I still be able to see boost at all or will I probably just be baying it until I can get it retuned? How much power should I safely be able to make with srp pistons and tuner toys rods? Im leaving the head completely stock so I wont be reving over 8k or so but will I still be safe on 15 psi with the greddy 18g? I think remmy is making 17 psi with the same turbo. I know he has more done to his motor than I am planning but what boost level do you see being safe with the 18g on my setup?

CR will really not change the tune too much, you'll probably be a little slower until you get a retune but you'll be able to boost just fine.
