HELL YEAH!!!! I got back from talking to the guy that was selling the talons... as it turns out, they were all naturally-aspirated. But he also happened to have an old TD04 turbo from an old Saab sitting around, so I ended up buying that.... and now my transmission swap project/turbo project begins...

Okay, well I guess I finally get to start on my turbo project ( yay! ):

Turbo Build Project:
Compression Test: (kind of pointless on the EG... I'll test the EK after I buy it lol)
Turbo: TD04 from an old Saab ($100)
Air filter: I'll be re-using my AEM dry-flow
FMIC: K2Motor
Charge Piping: I'll be piecing it together
Oil Line Kit: LSD Motorsports
BOV: GReddy Type-RS knockoff
Fuel Management: GReddy E-Manage
Turbo Manifold: I'll be buying an HF manifold from ebay and having it modified
Injectors: Venom 550ccm

^that's all I can think of off the top of my head... I'll be editing this post a lot with the updates, so I'll add more then.

Progress:
-(10/26/07)- bought turbocharger

Correction: it's off an old Saab, not a volvo... just checked the ID plate (when I talked to the guy on the phone, he said he thought it was from a volvo, and that it was a td04 turbo.).. it's a TD04 HE-15T turbo... and I'm not sure on the bypass valve... then again, I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for lol

good stuff. after not driving my civic for like ever (bad accident, its been getting repaired) im gonna get it back and i have plans to boost it. but i am pretty confused. i guess i'll keep in tabs with this to see how you do, and for some guidance lol. even though you are also looking for guidance, lol. good luck with the tranny swap though. thats gonna be money. i had a pretty clean 94' accord ex. but it was an autotragic. it has typical i/h/e plus a body kit and it was lowered. i was gonna add mad more stuff, but the complications of converting to manual was too pricey and tricky. thats why i am getting rid of it and sticking with my stick civic. hope you get your tranny in there and well. stick is so much more fun to drive. my accord is sick, but its just not fun to drive.

woot woot, good luck with the build for sure man. From what i can tell so far, its a long road with tons of unseen expenses, so have like atleast $200 extra dollars ready, and be ready for a few snags. And good luck with the Emanage too, i think i might have to go piggyback with my build too which is NOT DESIRABLE, but might be necesarry. I think i'm going with the AEM Fuel and Ignition controller, which can do both fuel and retard timing, so you might wanna look into that (since i think the basic E-manage only does fuel, no?)

yeah, e-manage only does fuel as far as I know... but how much is the AEM unit? That's really what I'm worried about; e-manage will be like $600 if I get all the accessories. Link to the AEM Fuel and Ignition?

yeeeeeah this computer like wont let me post up a link....but i just went to www.aempower.com , then to Performance Electronics, then Fuel/Igniton Controller (F/IC). Their website says $464 but i've seen it all over the new for like $375, and now that i look, the installation harnesses are still in the works, and when they come out their going to be for a 350z, Scion Tc and the RSX, so w/e. And looking at the Greddy page, if you get the ignition harness you actaully can control timing a bit, so maybe it'll work out for you and where did you see the Emanage for $600?? Thats steep for sure

if it's off a saab than it doesn't have an internal bypass valve. Only volvos had that
