SS Auto Project
hey newbe here, i was just wondering what the start up proceedure was with the turbo? any special things needing to be done on the first start up? i just went turbo and was wondering i have not started it yet, maybe in a week just doin final items.
another thing is if the car is off and you cant spin the compressor blades freeely by hand then yes there is something wrong with the turbo
The wheel should turn if you spin it with your finger.
And another thing you can do, is just hold the compressor wheel with your finger once the car is started, just be carefull. Then after a few seconds the oil will be flowing and you can let go.
I did that with my truck that had a lot more exhaust flow and a much larger turbo, trust me, it's safe.
