Turbo'd D16, having cooling problems, need help....
Cometec makes just about the best head gasket you can buy, but an OEM one would work in your application as well. For head studs, try http://autosportcity.com/default.aspx
K cool. I will go ahead and get all this stuff and try to get it put in this week if i can. Gettin married in 2 weeks, so time is kinda tight. Thanks for the help. If this doesn't work, I'll be back and we'll see if we can come up with something else.
just make sure you clean the mating surfaces really well and if you're doing the headgasket, might as well do the water pump and timing belt if they're not recent.
i would also check to see if the head isnt warped and is still flat. copper coat the headgasket before you install it to get a little extra sealing
I'm having the same problem.
I want to buy all my internals at once and them professionally installed, should I wait until then and just get some arp headstuds and a new head gasket? Why would I need a new headgasket, wouldn't I know if it was blown by overheating and oil and coolant miscolor?
How much would a shop charge to change a headgasket?
