Default Well, lean isn't a problem anymore.

Installing my FMU was like winning the lottery. I went from dangerously lean to filthy rich in one 20-minute install. Fantastic. Apparently 12:1 is a little much. I took a step backward and am now close to where I was NA. I am going to bump the timing up again but I don’t think it’s going to put me where I want to be. I’m starting to wonder about the “lil G-tech.”

Drivability suffered a little too with the FMU. It’s Ok at very little throttle and at WOT, but in between it’s a little herky-jerky. It seems to get confused right between 1 inch of vacuum and 1 pound of boost, which is where normal, everyday driving (for me at least) occurs. An FMU may be a fine way to inexpensively deliver more fuel to your FI motor, but for my set-up 12:1 seems to be too much and I am not going to bother with any other boost ratio disks.

My injectors came in the same day as my “Kenji” chip (You know, our sponsor. I’m supporting HCF. Are you?) They will both go in this week and I am optimistic about the larger injectors and an ECU program. I’ll take some pics of the injector install and keep you guys posted as usual.

I read something about a missing link but dismissed it because I thought it was a piggy-back of some sort. It wouldn't help wih the amount of fuel delivered though will it?

Oh, I guess I shoul dhave specified that the FMU is coming out in favor of the injectors and the chip. An FMU and larger injector would be way overkill. The FMU is going up for sale.

the missing link just hides the boost.
