Honestly, there's a tool designed for that job specifically. Either that, or you will need to use a socket but I don't remember ever having to on a Honda engine.

What you do is, you lay the head on the table. Fold up a rag and put it under the head in the concave portion for the valve that you are working on. Take the tool/socket, place it on the retainer, and using a good hammer give it a good hard whack and it should just dislodge and can be placed to the side with no problems. Do this for all 16 retainers/springs/valves.

If you use a socket, just watch for the keepers. They are small and they can shoot everywhere if you're not careful. If you're using the tool designed for the job you won't have any issues because they have a magnet that catches them but if you're using a socket just make sure they don't come out of the hole and shoot across the room. You will need them later.

ok i just watched a video about vavle float, so it looks like if the springs aren't strong enough or get worn out they don't hold the valve in place that well, is this because the different cam pushes down the spring more causing it to wearout faster?

Bigger cams open the valves farther and for a longer amount of time (duration and lift)

Generally the case, but turbo cams are high lift, short duration. Overlaphas a negative effect with a supercharged engine.
