Yup. Here's a helpful hint on getting it back onto the turbo: take a hair dryer to the plastic hose for a few minutes until it's nice and soft. It's still a PITA to get onto the turbo, but it's a lot easier than just trying to finagle it into place.

Going out to tune the car tonight. Looking to tune the AVCS, timing and boost then she should be pretty much done. I need to get a different fuel filter for the car. I'm going to see if the girlfriend will shoot some video tonight of tuning and then I can post them later.

BTW the STi intercooler comes with a stock elbow that is more stretchable than the WRXs, I don't get why they couldn't have done that for the WRX intercoolers

Was out tuning from 10:30 pm to 3:30 am. I think we got everything dialed in. Close to 360 wtq and 300 whp. I am very happy with how she reacts, only disappointment was that we couldn't get the turbo to spool as fast as we wanted. Also I'm hitting around 21 psi in 4th gear and love it

Congrats on getting her tuned

And I agree, the STi intercooler is a little easier than the WRX, but it's still not Forester XT easy

Well I don't know if anyone knows this or not but the 2005 STi rear fenders are already rolled. I picked up some 18x9 Rota G-Forces with a +30 offset. Well to make a 9" wheel fit you need to go with a 40-45 offset. WHOOPS! So I decided to take matters into my own hands. Got out the grinder to grind some of the inner fender off and to loosen up the spot welds then spent all night hammering the fenders off.

I still need to put some Fusor 803 inbetween the two panels to replace the spot welds and get some no rust paint to put on the inside of the fender. The fender flare will go back on with Fusor 803 and some clamps.

Look at the massage the fenders got

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I think I am going to hammer the fenders out a little more on Thursday when I get the Fusor in.

Looks good man! Will definitely be sweet once the Flare's trim is back in place.

Can't wait to see how much better she handles. It was already a dream when exiting a turn with the 17's and base tires
