The TDI's and even the 1.8T's & 2.Slow's will typically run for quite a while. As mentioned, having to own VAG tools (ib4vaginajokes) to work on anything sucks. Coils are known to suck even harder. Hell, I couldn't drive my Jetta to work on a rainy day without having it shut down for ~30 minutes completely without warning.

I had a mkIII Jetta VR6, pretty fun car, but ****ugly and about as reliable as a meth addict

Again, VW really needs to work on their ignition systems. My sister's '02 Jetta wouldn't start if it was parked over grass overnight (the moisture coming off the ground was enough to soak the ignition), and my friend's '96 Jetta wouldn't start if it was freaking foggy out.

And BMW's run perfectly fine with well over 100k miles, particularly the E30s; those things are d*mn near bulletproof.

And now, back to Suabrus! I was going to make a separate thread for this but I really don't feel like it. So, here are a few pics from my exhaust install last weekend. We installed a Catless OEM STi Up-Pipe, and full catless 3" Turbo-Back exhaust, the reflashed the ECU to stage II (18.25 psi, and about a ~50-60hp jump) What a great time!

We decided that it was a good idea to start doing prep work Friday night, and I am extremely glad that we did. Ran into a few stuck bolts here and there but really nothing major...

It took Tyler about 4 seconds to start throwing parts out of my engine bay

This made me lol (for those who don't know what they're looking at, it's a PB Blaster cap blocking debris from entering my SUBARU motor

I didn't take any pics of the progress for a couple of reasons. 1) We were moving pretty quick, no time for standing around. B) I wanted to make sure things were finished early enough for us to chill and drink some beers that night. And Potato) Once you start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, you just can't stop.

Couple shots of the melon shooter installed.

It's a bit loud for my tastes but sounds really mean! I will eventually replace the axle back with something along the lines of a MADDAD Whisper, or a Borla Hush. They're a bit more low key in both looks and sound (that is, until you go WOT!). But for now I'm having fun annoying my neighbors and surprising people who don't expect quick movement out of "silly little wagon"

Here are a few hard parked shots of Tyler's STi, as well as a Group Shot (Bit of my wagon, some of my wife's 2.5i, and Tyler's STi)

I think Tony went to go do something and like a couple minutes later I had the intercooler off. Lol that's what happens when I enjoy working on Subarus and want to start a project. It was def a fun and pretty easy install. After looking at those pictures I had to give the STi a bath so I did that last night.

I have some gold 18x9s to put on but I have to roll my fenders so the car will look a lot better after those are on.

The exhaust is a lot quieter on the 2.0 than on the 2.5. I think Lori would get pissed if she had to hear my car everyday. When can I move in

Gah I hate putting the intercooler back on WRXs and Legacy GTs. The Forester XT intercooler is so much easier to get back on lol

Thanks Nike!

reaper...i hear ya, we had to wiggle it around quite a bit before it would go on. Why Subaru made that coupler our of barely stretchable plastic is beyond me.
