I just installed last night, and was very impressed. I have an older Sony desktop (2.8 P4 HT, upgraded to 1GB of RAM, EVGA GeForce6800GT, and a Creative SB card), and I got a Home Premium Vista upgrade disk from a computer my mom recently bought, so I figured it was worth the shot. I haven't had the chance to tweak it much, but everything (ethernet, sound, video) all worked with no drivers. With XP, none of them functioned properly until the drivers were installed. Unfortunately, Sony doesn't have drivers for Vista, but the video and sound cards did, so it's running really well.

Interface is sweet, and even though it's not a huge change, I'm enjoying it!

I wont get it till I get a new computer because mines like 5 years old. But it looks cool. The MAC advertising is starting to win me over, everywere I turn I hear people say how good they are...but
I use one at school sometime and they are hard to get used to.

I will say the Windows Media Center is kinda cool and all but I have two complaints. You cant really get in depth with tinkering it and it works way to slow for my tastes.

well id have to somewhat disagree....
i got vista in my new computer and its a PITA at times!

ALLOW
DENY...... PITA!

now it does have some cool features like those gadgets and the pop up windows when ya put the curser over the taskbar... thats preaty cool..... but the constant ALLOW DENY is a PITA... then when i try to link pictures to this forum i have to first TERPORARILY ALLOW to be able to link pictures quite STUPID! so i cannt just click always allow... thats stupid!

i hope they fix these PITA things!!!!!

i heard you can turn them off BUT HOW....... LMFAO i got nortons antivirus so not to worried about viruses and such....

You have to have more than one window open to do it I think. windows + tab = the multi windows function. alt + tab = quick switch from windows.
