04 civic lower tie bar install?

Default 04 civic lower tie bar install?

How do you install a lower tie bar on a 04 civic ex? do you have to jack up the car? its double wish bone and i dont know which bolt to remove... please help

If it is like my 05 and it should be as those two years not very far apart, you will need to jack the car up until both tires are off the ground. (At least the instructions with mine said too). Once the rear of the car is off the ground then remove the two inner lower control arm bolts(these can be a pain in the *** sometimes to remove) Once you have the bolts out place the tiebar up there and bolt it into the holes where you just took the bolts out. The tie bar should have come with longer bolts to allow this. Here are pics of what my 05 looks like with the new sway and tie bar combo to give you an idea. The two bolts on either side of the word Progress are what I am referring too.

ok how do you get the bolt to align once you get it off... mines shifted to the right and i cant get hte bolt back in!!

I used a 2nd jack under the control arm and just barely lifted it enough that I could stick a screwdriver in the hole to line it up then it would stay there allowing me to put the bolt in.
