Default Better: Slotted or Drilled?

Im wanting to ugrade my brake system and Im not sure about whether to get drilled or slotted rotors. I planning on going with stoptech direct replacement rotors, steel braided lines and eventually upgrading calipers but stay the same size. I was just wanting to know what everyone thought. Is there even really a major difference? Just want a little feedback. Thanks.

drilled rotors have a chance of cracking... but look better then just slotted. they cant be too much diffrent performance wise. ill leave it up to you.

Drilled are alot more just for style. They do help keep the brake cooler though.

If it is only based on performance go with the slotted.

As a daily drive just get some OE replacement Brembo's and new pads. I wouldn't spend the money on slotted or drilled... a nice set of plain old OE replacement rotars go a long way.

My friend put some Brembo OE replacement rotars on his Civic and the difference was very aparent, almost no fade.

He got them from www.buybrakes.com they have them pretty cheap.

You will not feel a difference right away or on street use but when hammering on them all the time like in a road course or auto-x setting the slotted totors will make a big difference. With a Civic though I suggest brembo blanks, with good pads, stock calipers, and upgraded brake lines. The weight of a civic just simply does not justify putting aloy into the brake system.
