Default Brembo Brakes Slotted/Drilled

So its time for some new brake disks for the front of my car. I am planning on buying some Brembo ones. However I am trying to decide if slotted rotors are worth the extra $150 dollars. I mean sure they look nice, but its not like I will be running the 24 hours of Le Mans and my brakes will fade on me. Plus I've heard that slotted and or drilled rotors tend to chew up break pads faster, is this true? Or should I just buy the regular set of Brembo discs for $40. Any help would be great!

The drilled ones tend to crack easier. I've heard arguements made for both sides, that the slotted are better and the slotted are not different. I would get them cause they look better.

Ok, so I decided to go with the Brembo slotted rottors. I did not want to deal with the whole cracking/warping and pad chewing of the drilled rotors, and the slotted rotors offer better performance and looks than the basic rotors for only $80 more. I bought mine off of tirerack.com for $160. And yeah, MY99SI that would be sweat if you could post some pics.
