Default Brake Drums

For more than half the day today, i was attempting to install new brake shoes on my car. Long story short, a wheel cylinder and brake line later, i'm done. However, there is one problem. The drum will not fit over the shoes, i've already moved the adjuster so that its at the lowest it can be. Still the drum isn't fitting over the shoes. I was thinking that i should have the drums machined, since it has 100K miles on and there might be a big rust ridge or something. However, the other drums i've done haven't had this problem, infact i had to turn the adjuster so that the pads would strech out a little more to touch the drums. But this is the first honda i've done. Any help would be appreciated, i gotta get this done by tommorow since my dad needs the car on monday and i still have to do the left side.

Default RE: Brake Drums

that happened to me when i was doing my brakes.set the adjuster so the drum will fit then you can adjust the starwheel from a hole on the back side to make the shoes fit. If not beat it on with a hammer, drums can take some abuse.
