Question Creeking knocking noise.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out here. I have a 00' Civic VP and when ever I press on the brakes I always hear a creaking knocking noise from the front driver side only. I have changed the lower ball joint, steering arm (outer side) and, upper ball joint for the Skunk2 camber kit. The brakes, calipers and rotors are brand new. I have checked the axle boots are they are all good, no leaks. Usually the sound gets louder after a long drive. Do any of you know what's going on?

It could be related to the shock.

Question Creeking knocking noise.

Yeah I took the strut off too looks clean and still pretty stiff. My suspension consists of Eibach Sportline springs w/ the Tokico blue struts. Could there be anything else?

Perhaps the metal top half of the shock's dust boot is rubbing against the shock body or hitting the top hat of the shock when it compresses.

I think it might also be possible for the wheel bearing to make that noise if it's going bad. I'm not 100% sure though.

Default Creeking knocking noise

Yeah. I was hoping it was the strut where all the rubber was but I applied a bunch of grease there and the noise is still there... Blah...

As for the wheel bearing I will give that a try I haven't tried that yet. I know that the passenger side one already went bad i have replaced that. Maybe it is the drivers side that needs to go now. Thanks!

kinda hard description.
might want to inspect your rubber bushings.

i had my old civic pop every now and then when turning or stoping sometimes. and it was the rubber bushing on the front struts lca. the inside metal sleeve had seperated from the rubber and was sliding back and forth giving me a popping noise. it was preaty obvious the bushing was bad when i looked at it all rotted looking and the metal sleeve was not even.

just something else to posibly look at.

it ended up being the wheel bearing and the spindle. All ball joints are bad. I did more research and when ever you are driving and hear the creaking, knocking it is usually the axles. If it happens when breaking it is usually means the wheel bearing are going out.
