Default DIY: H-brace

Heres a post on how to bolt up an H-brace. This item should be able to stiffen up the front end of your car.

Cost: $57
Installation time: 20 mins
Weight: 3.6 lbs

Be sure to jack your car up and use jack stands!

Heres a pic of what the item looks like. (not the best pic, but the only one I have before it went on)

First, disconnect your front LCA by taking out this bolt on both sides.

Then disconnect this bolt down by the cat, there are 2 bolts in this spot, so make sure its the one closest to the center of the car.

Now place the H-brace into position and get the 2 front LCA bolts in first, then the other 2 last.

This is what it will look like, clearance is better then I thought, its about an inch from the header.

Lower the car back down and your done.

Feels nice and solid. Took it out on some back roads and it felt a little better through the corners. But my car has 17 year old stock suspension (this is the first and only mod to the suspension thus far) so the car still feels like its going to pull apart going through corners, but ya, I can feel the difference for sure.

If I have strut bars would this still fit?

I bought the four set. So they're under the car, too.
