i read on a lot of other forums about powdercoating and none of them talk about it messin up ur rims except this one?... does it really?... im scared to do it now.. haha any info?????????? plzzzzzzz

 

i have done it to several motorcycle rims.. no problems as long as they bead blast it not sand blast!!

That was some guy from the Bay Area I belive that had his wheels powder coated


I belive it is from when the powder is baked on what weakens the wheel. Also if a wheel is to crack the powder coat will not crack so you will have no idea. Just paint them please.

it basically comes down to making sure they cook them at less than 400 degrees. at least thats what my research showed.
