Powder Coating or Painting Rims???
Hey Everyone!
I'll be purchasing a set of rims this summer that i am planning on color matching to my civic.
First, i want to know whether i need to powder coat them or simply paint them?
Second, anyone know where i can get Fiji Blue Pearl Paint...honda body shope...where?
Also, does anyone have any idea how much this might cost me?
Thanks

RE: Powder Coating or Painting Rims???
to have them painted i can get them done for $25 but i know the guy so you might be looking at 50 bucks a rim... if you pay a professional.. the paint itself since it sounds like it's hard to find might cost you like 50-70 bucks on the side as for the powder coating... i'm not sure... i would seeing as they sit right next to the brakes and they usually give off a lot of heat along with the tires if you peel out... so about 250 to do all of this... 100 bucks max if you do it yourself maybe...

See i always heard that if u get it rims powder coated that it will weakin your rim if not done properly or in a good oven..As far as painting would probably be the cheaper and closer match to the factory paint. I have helped paint rims and they lasted long and looked great after awile. If you take it to the paint shop they will be able to get the paint from the local automotive paint store to match your vechile..
