Default How much traction loss?

I have 205/40/17 tires. I have a problem when I pull into my driveway of rubbing the fender with the tire. So I was thinking about going with 15's or 16's and getting a 195 tire. Is there a signifigant traction loss? I know it depends on the brand of tire, as well as the compound. I'm just saying, in general, the idea of going from a 205 to a 195.

You won't be able to tell. Like addiction2bass said though, if you take an extreme angle you should be fine... my car is LOW and I barely ever rub on anything.
