currently, i have 14' rims on my 95 civic and im kinda getting sick of em. I was looking at some 16' rims with decent-ish tread...i was also looking at some 18' rims with decent tread on em... which would be better on the car? how much would the feel of the ride be affected by the 18' or 16' rims? and which would be the smarter choice?

 

Dont go 18, id say 17s max, but id go with the 16s

 

16's bro, 15's even better if ur building ur motor. get something light that looks nice. ive done the whole 18's, 17's and its just stupid imo now on a civic

 

14ft rims...'Must be running tractor or combinetires. If you swap to 18ft rims and kept your overall tire diameter the same, youmight even feel most other Civics as you drove over them. I'd go with 16ft rims though, as they and their corresponding tires will generally be more economical than anything larger.

 

well, the guy thats selling the 16" 5 spoke racing rims said that he would do a trade... the bad thing is, I wanted to buy tires with better tread than whats on ithis tires right now. (i dont exactly have the money for new low pro tires) so thats why im asking this... but hewould trade me his 16'sformy 14'sand id throw in a hundred or 2 hundred bucks... what concerns me is how much would those new tires (205/40/16) cost me in about a year or 2?
